Wiring Harness 9A840
« on: October 14, 2017, 12:26:23 AM »
Hello Everyone,
I'm seeking this wiring harness. It should be harness number 9A840. It is the wiring harness for the speed control.
As you can see, the 2 green wires from the splice have been cut and they should have gone into the 2 connectors
for the turn signal wiring. It anyone has one they would be willing to part with, I'd be very grateful!
Thanks,

In 10 years of refurbishing all vintage Mustang wiring harnesses, I have never seen wiring for speed control.  That is going to be a very rare item.  It looks like yours can be spliced easily enough.

Well I should mention that this is on my 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7.
I've enclosed a copy of the wiring diagram from Ford for clarification.
And, my car has factory wiring that would not be considered standard
compared to others I've talked with. Maybe with all the options my car
has, it left the factory differently from your standard XR7 Convertible.
Only the shadow knows, and he's not talking!
