67 390 GTA coupe
« on: July 21, 2010, 03:01:05 PM »
Project, survivor car. 67 390 GTA coupe. Built late 66 San Jose. Original red/white vinyl top, red deluxe interior. This car is loaded with options. A/C, P/S, disc brakes, upper, lower console, convenience group warning lights in console, tiltaway wheel, indash tach, deluxe woodgrain wheel, styled steel wheels, etc. Has all 4 original Autolite C7ZE shocks, original master cylinder and cap, original C7ZE radiator. The body still has the original paint from the doors back and has all the original date coded sheet metal on it. The dash pad and headliner are original and in good shape. Original drivetrain, never been out of car, not running. Stored indoors since 78. Absolutely no rust on the undercarriage anywhere. One spot of rust in front of the left rear wheel about the size of a quarter. The dash chrome and deluxe door panels have been redone. The trunk is loaded with NOS parts. This car is an unmolested time capsule that has not been stripped of it's hard to find parts. This is not a car that has had all these options added to it. It came this way from the factory. It is bound to be a one of a few with this many options on it. According to Ford records, only about 1/3 of red 67's got the red interior. Most red cars had black or white interiors. For the discriminating collector who wants something different than everyone else has. Very good investment potential. Done right, this car would bring a premium. Pics available to serious parties. $11,750. with all the NOS parts or make a reasonable offer.

By the way, I now own this very nice rust free car.  It is as Mr Whittaker has described.  And, according to the Marti report, was ordered as a dealer demonstrator car.  The restoration will likely start in 2012.
