1970 San Jose inspector stamps and details
« on: January 06, 2013, 03:13:04 PM »

This car came out of Quartzsite Arizona and looks to have been on the road last time in 1981 and been sitting ever since.  Alot of cool interesting little details that show some of the San Jose assembly details.

Thanks - any idea of when the car was assembled?

From other observations

- the stamp in the trunk on the latch is related IMHO to something other than paint inspection. Haven't found a worker yet that can explain its purpose. Similar one is more often found on 71-73 Dearborn cars

- the luggage protector on the drivers side wheel housing (short version) is more commonly found on Calif evap equipped cars (clears all the plumbing that passes over the top of that section)

Thanks again for sharing

No problem...
Last numbers on the VIN are 137155 which makes me believe its a December January time frame build date roughly.
