65-66 Battery Toppers
« on: February 19, 2019, 08:48:01 PM »
Putting some feelers out there on a more correct looking battery topper for anyone not wanting to go with the reproduction batteries. My Girlfriend and I run a small crafting business from our home and I'm thinking of adding this to our list of offerings online. I can provide just the decal or a entire modified topper. Decal would be 10.00 each or a topper would be 75.00 plus 5.00 for shipping within the U.S. Lead time on a topper would be about 2 to 3 weeks. Decals would be just a couple days.

Thanks,
Ryan

The Caution print looks a bit too large.  Also, there should be a colon after 'connect'

Guess you're aware that originally these were molded in, raised lettering?

Thanks for the input. I am aware of that. This size starts to exceed the limitations of the cutter and product. However your right. I’m going to resize the “caution” before sending any out. I’ve now acquired some better pictures of original batteries. For durability I’ve left off the colon which can easily be inserted with a couple dabs of paint and a toothpick. 3D printing may also be another option. This would be on your lower cost side of the options. I drive my car and depend on its durability which is why I’ve created these decals for merely a more authentic look.

The image of the original battery is of a Group 22F size, your topper is a 24F.  That may be skewing the interpreted size of the lettering.  Based on my observations, the lettering was the same size on both, but will obviously appear smaller on the bigger battery.  I've also see the larger 27 size with the same caution lettering, it looks even more smaller on that one.

Hi Ryan, do you have the cover with raised letters?
