Steering column question
« on: March 02, 2024, 10:09:53 AM »
Can someone explain what this linkage on my steering column is for? It's not connected to anything. Maybe if the car was an automatic transmission, it might make sense, but it's not.

That?s very interesting. I am really surprised that in 45 years of changing ( my own) toploaders, I have never dealt with that before. Do you have a picture showing how the other end is properly attached?

If you were working on earlier cars then it would not be a feature. Not unusual for owners/shops to disconnect this auto thief feature
