Title: Transmission color - 65 C4

When I picked up my transmission they had painted it a shining silver.   What is the color for a 65 C4  Dearborn car. What paint should I use?? Anyone have pictures?

no paint. the finish is bare aluminum.

Of course they painted it.  ::) Typical for transmission shops and others to freshen up the look - paint everything.

Not original.

As carlite65 provided bare aluminum main body, tail shaft housing and bell housing. Bare sheet steel pan, bare aluminum neutral safety switch, attaching bolts, fittings, washer, nuts all of different specific finishes
