I am getting ready to have my hood repainted. I have the stencil for it, but I am having trouble finding the correct, textured matte black paint to do the hood stripes. Thanks

Body, Paint & Sealers / What is the correct paint for Mach 1 rocker moundings?
« Last post by DaveF on May 03, 2024, 11:42:51 PM »
Recently, I bought some paint from NPD. It is a very dark charcoal grey that is almost black. The color of my rocker molding is a much lighter gray. Could someone give me an indication of which one is right, or where I might find the right shade of grey?

As Jeff may have eluded, an engine sitting for years can develop stuck rings. Simply driving fixed mine.
Here is more of what can be learned from a leak down test.

Thanks guys! I'm going to start welding up some holes.

Hammer them flat since they often are irregular from tightening the screw or drill bit into the hole when made

Get a cooper plate to hold on the back side and it should go well

This is the plenum I had installed for years. Never lost a point because it meets the requirement on the Concours judging sheet. Agree it is not exactly the same as what you normally see but it is a OEM 65/66 ford plenum. Dealer replaced???

I remember when the first Mustangs came out they were nothing more than a nice looking car with cheap stuff, mostly Falcon (it was called "special Falcon" for a while). That "Falcon" connection may be what you find in 64, and yes, the 1965 Mustangs were "better".

Looking for a nice OEM or nos C6AE 4 blade fan blade dated F66, G66 or H66.  No pits, nicks or severe rust.
For the record, what engine, year and options (if any) is this fan for?
