Title: Factory Markings on Front Springs
Post by: Mark69Sportsroof on February 06, 2015, 11:12:23 PM
Hey Everyone,

I am putting on new front springs on my 73 Mach 1.  Does anyone have information or pics of where it is applied to the springs?

Thanks Mark

Same basic method and process as other earlier years.

Identification mark(s) were applied with the brush in a way that any runs typically look to flow upward on the spring once its installed.

IMHO normally they look as if the paint was applied while passing the brush from the bottom to the top of the spring (towards the flat end) possibly sitting on the flat end or on its side. Of course out of the car.
