Title: '67 289 replacement fuel pump weep hole leak

I understand the only cause for fuel to be pumping out the "weep hole" (under pressure) in the fuel pump is failure of the diaphragm....  Wanted to confirm that before I remove and replace it.  It is just an inexpensive, replacement pump.
