Title: '65 driver air vent
Post by: Oz390 on April 13, 2016, 04:44:46 AM
Got given a '65 heater box to restore and as an add-on got a driver side vent.  The item is all metal, not the plastic I am used to seeing.  Were early 65's using a metal version?

I've seen a lot of '65-66 cars with a metal driver's side vent.  I don't think I've seen a plastic version on an original car.

I believe the 65's had a plastic louver on metal vent. The 66 vent was all metal.

Wrong vents Jeff!

I believe he was mentioning the fresh air vents on drivers side cowl

Got it -  not sure why my mind went to fastback. Maybe it was a question about sportroof details in the 69-70 section

Yep, that's it.  Thanks. As a "67/68 guy" that part was a new one on me...
