Title: 1966 Parchment pony seat insert color?

Anyone have a good reference of what the correct color should be for the pony inserts with parchment pony interior. I know they should be darker than the rest of the seats but in my latest TMI upholstery they actually look lighter. I am really tempted to die the inserts a darker shade. Would Palomino be about right?

You are asking about the actual horses on the seats correct ? I think Palomino would be way to dark. I think it is more a shading thing than a colour change.

Yes, the pony seat inserts. I have seen original interiors and discussions here about the inserts and I am sure they were substantially darker, just not sure what exactly the shade originally was. I believe your probably right, not as dark as palomino, just not sure what it would be to have some vinyl dye mixed.
