Title: Scuff Plates
Post by: ChrisV289 on August 04, 2017, 11:39:53 PM
So I was able to acquire a pair of early squared off scuff plates.  What is the best way to refinish these?  There are some minor scratches in them but they are not bent up and hardly any dings...

They'll have to be buffed/polished.

I took mine down to the chrome plating shop and they polished them for me.  They turned out great!  They also polished up the aluminum trim that goes along the door side of the  front seats.

Made of aluminum? should they be anodized? Am only familiar with 2nd generation sill plates.

They are aluminum or aluminum alloy.  No anodizing.
