Title: 1966 Seat belt warning light wiring
Post by: Hipo giddyup on August 24, 2017, 11:53:46 AM
Can anyone identify where the 1966 seat belt warning light wiring harness would hook up into the main harness? My current project has the chrome bezel, relay mounted to the brake support, but the wiring has been cut and removed. I tried searching numerous wiring diagrams but not finding this connection to the main harness? Any help would be much appreciated!  ;)

Do you have a copy of the 66 Mustang Electrical Assembly manual? The info you seek is on pages 58 and 73. Let me know if you need the indicator light's location.

I actually do not have the electrical manuals but have the shop manual for 66'. I can't remember seeing it there so I'll have to check that out once I can get my hands on it. I have the location for the light , that's the easy part, (this car was an original seat belt warning light car). I just need to know where the connector is that the warning light harness connects to.

Thanks

It's the triple connector used for the radio on the left side of the instrument area.
Get a set of the Osborn Mustang Assembly Manuals. The Osborn Manuals answer assembly questions, the service manual is for repairs. Both are good for their purposes.
Attached is the measurements for installation for future reference. Use a Greenlee 730 3/4 inch punch (available on e-bay).
