Title: Odd toploader date code - Boss 351 RUG-AV1

Toploader main case date code  appears to be 280? The left screw head impression is unusual also. What does  this likely correspond to? RUG-AV1 destined for a Boss 351.

your posting is quite old but ill answer anyway,

the 280 most likely means the 280th day of the year ,
I think these later toploaders had this style of date code ,
 the earlier toploaders had your basic month letter and day number like B19 for Feb 19
