Title: need help on my steering column

took  my steering column aparts to repaint it . i am trying to put it back together but can not figure how the two t-bolts hold the two flanges together . NEED HELP

There are a couple of barrel nuts that hold the T bolts in the rest of the assembly - don't believe I could describe the point where it would do any good. There is a decent picture/drawing in the assembly manual but that is at the shop and I'm at home. Either someone will post or I will scan and post after the weekend
