Title: PS Bracket

What color or finish is the PS bracket and the piece of metal that surrounds the rubber insulator for the PS Bracket? The repros are painted black, is this correct. What is the bolt finish? thanks

Are you referring to the ram cylinder bracket that bolts to the unibody?  If so, that would have been natural cast iron.

This is the bracket that the 2 Power steering hoses go thru, it is bolted to the engine to frame mount. Bracket looks like a large "T" and the rubber insulator part is bolted to it.

SG Black is the correct finish for that piece.

I have also seen the portion of the bracket that unbolts and holds the rubber as natural or zinc phosphate on some 67--70 examples . Those were all on Shelby examples which used the bigblock type base bracket and not the one pictured so I don't know if it would apply. I thought it may be a possible variation because the portion that holds the rubber is common to both.  On the ones I observed it was more the exception then the rule. I don't mean to confuse the issue but just wanted to relate some other possible variations to the finish. Bob
