I was recently reading the thread about correct carpet in a '65 with Ivy Gold interior (see the original thread here: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=8099.0).
Is the darker green carpet discussed in that thread also what would've come in a '67 with Ivy Gold interior? The original carpet on my '67 coupe was long gone and was replaced with ACC Ivy Gold carpet years ago. I recently put new carpet back in the car back in December, and I used ACC Ivy Gold again, since it matched what came out of the car, but now I'm concerned that my car should've had a darker shade of green, like the '65s in that other thread.
What shade of green was the carpet originally? Was it close to what's pictured in those low-mile '65s?

Short answer - no doesn't look like it.
Looked through allot of pictures to find what appears to be the original carpet cars ( carpet was one of the first things replaced it seems)
Plenty of replacements with darker color - odd colored heel and toe pads. Even one green interior with what looked like blue carpet
I offer the following examples ;)

Jeff, this light green color carpet would be used with a 4G ivy gold, would it also be used with 6G dark ivy gold ?
-
According to the MPC all interior code "_G" ivy gold got the same part number carpet.

Thanks Brian.

The pictures I posted above are a mix of green interiors and its difficult (as well as assumed that many have been changed) to tell sometimes if they have been replaced. But since the selection of green carpet over the years have been limited sometimes the replacements really stand out.
Will post some more though it may confuse things as much as clarify. Tone/tint may even relate to timer period and plant/supplier for that specific plant.
