QUESTION: Is it wise to have the "Member Restoration/Builds" section open to non-members? I have recently posted some images that COULD be misused without research too.

Not to get too far off thread but by changing that setting it would at least limit viewers to that section and those pictures to people who we assume (by joining our site) are of similar minds and understanding. Will flip the switch so to speak

I broke my drivers side spindle years ago and kept it because I knew someday Al Gore would invent the internet and someone would use it to ask about Metuchen paint daubs on V8 spindles.

Upper and lower ball joints had pink (lower looks white in pic but outer edges are pink) A big pink blotch running down the arm. There is a different color around where the tie rod connects (dark orange/brownish) I didn’t see any yellow but that doesn’t mean it was never there.

Also found a brinnel hardness test mark on the back. Not sure if that was normal or random sampling...part still failed

Did you happen to keep record of the engineering number from the spindle? For early 65-66 there may be a connection between different markings and the spindle used
