Exhaust manifold overspray

Which engines had their exhaust manifolds on when they were painted? 428CJs did not, but I don't know if any others didn't. Mostly interested in 351C engines.

Off the top of my head.
Exhaust manifolds installed at the time of engine painting.
6 Cylinders
289 + 302 Engines
Boss 302 Engines
Need to get the painting instructions out for the 351 Cleveland and Windsor motors to check

I can only guess 428 CJ didn't get overspray because the manifolds were much larger which shielded the side of block from paint and so were added after engine paint.

Believe 351 Clevelands would have also had the exhaust manifolds in place. Notation I found was that "light" overspray was permissible when painting. What ever "light" meant especially considering some of the factory examples we've seen on small blocks from the same factory in earlier years.

1969 351 Windsors had paint. Detailed a 69 engine in my buddies Spoiler II and the blue paint was still on the manifolds. Must have hogged on to still be there after all this time.
