I was all set to restore the Shelby since it was a "cookbook kind of car, just based on a Hi-Po Mustang." Paint some things semi-gloss and bammm. Bob's your uncle.

Thankfully I've run across this site and I've been schooled more times than I can count. The Shelby will now be getting a proper restoration -- all due to the many people here willing to impart their time, knowledge and parts.

Congratulations, the atmosphere here makes it easy and fun to give back. Is Sluggo still an enthusiast ?

Hopefully he still has his 69 but his last activity on the site was 6 years ago.  He was more interested in offering and setting up a site for our needs rather than being deep into this end of the hobby I believe.

Congratulations and thanks for such a tremendous resource.  While I have never posted much, I drop in often to learn and there's a lot to be said for the generosity of sharing this hard earned information.

The last time I saw Sluggo was at his home and he was in the process of selling his '69 Mustang and moving on to other interests. I tried to talk him into keeping it. That was in 2013 IIRC. Havent been in communication with him much since then.

Charles and Jeff, thank you for keeping the site so user friendly and interesting. I look forward to adding my experience and gleaning help as I soon begin my own concours resto of my '70 mach.

Wow! What a milestone... thanks Jeff and Charles and everyone else here, I've learned way more here then anywhere else and wouldn't have been able to get my car where it is today without all the advice and help. Also have to thank everyone for all the restoration technics and mechanical advice. When I started digging into my car, I would have never thought I could become such a decent builder and restorer and it's really all because of this site and the people who have contributed. Here's to another 10 years ;)

Love this site, you guys are great. Many others could learn from you, I know others in the car world and they are not nearly as open as this site is.

Great Place!  Great job everyone!

My little helicopter has displaced my Mustang PROJECT for a season, but I will dive back into it in due-time.

The only thing that would make this forum better is if it helped find my Rangoon Red early 65 convertible that was stolen in the mid-90's from a mall in Athens, GA.  5F08C397821

Big thanks to Jeff & Charles for running the show, and thanks to all of the members who kindly offer their expertise and wisdom about the cars we love!  Occasionally there will be disagreements on certain topics, but 99% of the time, the tone and commentary among the participants is both courteous and respectful – a welcome change-of-pace from many other forums these days!

It is amazing to see how much our knowledge-base about these cars has grown over the past decade, and I look forward to learning even more about them over the next decade as new info comes to light.  I have no doubt that the information gathered on this forum will be referenced by future Mustang enthusiasts/restorers long after we’re all gone!

Cheers!
