Natural Appearance

(1/1)

Alpha1946:
What is the best way to maintain the natural unfinished of parts such as Accelerator Lineage? Is there a coating that should be applied once these have been restored to their natural unfinished appearance?

CharlesTurner:
Year/engine?

CharlesTurner:
The accelerator crank mounted to the firewall was originally phosphate/oil.  The accelerator rod (from the carb) was usually zinc dichromate (gold.)  If the parts are plated/coated properly with the original finish, you will just need to maintain with something like boeshield.

Alpha1946:
Thanks to all who replied.

It appears that boeshield is the way to go and I will pick up some today.
