1967 Fastback Roof console insert finish
« on: October 06, 2020, 09:32:42 PM »
I recently replaced my 'original' roof console aluminum insert with one from Burton's Antique Auto. Burtons has more of a brushed aluminum finish which matches the dash. The 'original' piece is not brushed and has more of a shiny chrome like finish. Is that oem? I do not want to throw out the 'original' if truly OEM as it may be adequate for a driver or restoration. Thanks

I believe that a 67 insert should be brushed. I think you have a 68 insert that the wood grain has been removed.
