New Guy in Mitchell, SD
« on: March 08, 2021, 12:52:33 PM »
Greetings!  I just joined, having recently stumbled over this forum.  I have a 66 convertible that I bought in 1996.  From the factory it was a Nightmist blue, T-code, 3 speed but a previous owner converted it to V8 suspension, 289 and 4-speed and Shelby parts (side scoops, LeMans stripes, ...).

I've recently removed the V8 and have put in a 250 I6 and kept the T5 that I'd put in.  It's close to being done (haha, as if THAT ever happens), and it does run and drive pretty well.  I've done just about everything there is to do on it, except body and paint and welding in floor pans - I farmed those out.

It's always been a great learning vehicle for me and there's obviously a lot of knowledge here that I'm looking forward to gaining.

Cheers!

John

I grew up just down the road from you in Plankinton, SD.  Moved to a suburb of Dallas, TX twenty one years ago.  Currently restoring my early 65 (64.5) D code convertible.
