The VIN does start with a 5.  The warranty plate date code is 09J.  Would that be Sept 9 of 65 or 66?  Dearborn assembled.

Guess your asking specifically about Dearborn and for convertible since they were different from the other two body styles. We've not posted that info in that Running Changes thread yet but will look unless someone has already done the work and posts it before I respond. Looks like I've already graphed some findings but would be good, given how long its been since i did the collection, to go through it again for new examples

A a comment about the dual exhaust mounting brackets and their orientation even that would narrow down the production period. Will leave that to others so I don't hog the responses. Maybe I should have recused myself also to let others have more time and involvement

I guess with a 5 in the vin it rules it out as a 66 and GT  . a p[icture of the firewall would help .

Its hard to see from the angle of the photo and the weeds, is there a hole for a manual choke cable in the firewall.

Since the discussion died down, probably time to help answer a few questions and speculation

Well its  a 289 K code hipo per the vin plate, also see square corner sill plates ,with a sept 64 build it could be a generator vs an alternator charging system. cant tell if that is a choke cable near the firewall or a weed stalk, those square corner sill plates might be worth something.
