Topic: Restoring 1979 Gas Tank Straps

For my 4th holiday - I got to play around with these straps.

I bought these 79 Gas tank straps.  As you may or not know these are not being reproduced like the later gas tank straps are.



I put them in some EvapoRust and then grounded off the undercoating.



Check out these date codes





Then I put some self etching primer on



Still have some work to do.  I need to find out the right shade of black to paint
