Looking for an original 69 hood
« on: September 28, 2014, 03:41:33 PM »
Looking for an original 69 hood for a Boss 302, non shaker. I know any regular 69 hood will work. Can answer here or can PM me.

You may not want to do it, but I was in the same boat and needed one for the 69 Boss.  I went and bought a nice dry original F code California car to get a hood.  You could then replace the hood with either a 70 or repo and sell off the car.  I kept the car as a driver. just an idea.

The main difference is where the hood pins would go thru the hood, the hood reinforcement on a 69 has a round opening and a 70 is kind of oval.  Larger.

OK, I have one 69 then. Still, I doubt he'd want it. Has 4 holes drilled in it for a hood scoop mount I'm guessing. Plus a few other imperfections....

Would you sell the lip molding off of that hood and the attaching nuts?  I need them for my '69 Mach.
Too much junk, too little time.

I really only wanted the attaching nuts.  Can't seem to find the correct style anywhere.  Would you sell those?

Sorry...If they are that hard to find I had better keep them as I have a 69 and a 70 to restore. Sorry again, that's good to know....I had better take care of them befor they get any rustier.  :o  None of my other hoods have the trim!

Thanks, Rich

Make an offer? Not sure what it's worth...especially with the condition. I won't be selling the trim and nuts... SE WA. State 99403
