Title: 69 barn find day
Post by: ruppstang on March 03, 2024, 09:36:35 AM
Yesterday I helped a friend recover two 69 barn find projects. We had to move the owner's son's cars out to get to the 69 projects. the 67 fastback had not been out for 13 years and the yellow Mach 1 had not been out in 37 years, the son that owned that car helped us and was very excited to see his high school car outside.

The 69-winter blue car is a R code automatic with air car. The primered shell was a F code sports roof that was intended for repair parts for the R code. Sadly, the R code has sat outside for many years and is in very poor condition, but my friend is confident he can restore it. The best part was there was a rebuilt 428 short block and many restored and NOS parts.  In the end we had three car trailers full.

It was a fun day. I am always ready for a good barn find and it is even better when it is not my $$$$

It's going to be a pretty good estate sale one day.
