Marchal Fog light hardware
« on: July 01, 2019, 11:32:18 PM »
I am preparing to install the Marchal fog lights on our 68 GT350 and found in the assembly manual that there is a 45739 washer under the pedestal and above the fiberglass and another 45739 under the nut on the bottom.
Does anyone know what these 45739 washers are?

Another question, did the original front bezel say Marchal on top?

Yes. They are a large flat washer to be used "as needed". I stress as needed because more cars than not did not get them. My reasonable assumption is because the fog lamp support didn't always fit tight against fiberglass they were used to prevent breakage. I've got some originals around somewhere but they are about 1.5" diameter.
Assembly line Marchals do not have any stamping on the brow

Thanks Tim. That makes sense, some told me they use them and others said they did not. I did find some on a car that I judged last weekend. I think they look better with out the washers.
