Topic: The 3D Printer and Scanner thread

For various craft, educational and car related reasons we bought a large format 3D printer.
Its actually big enough to print a battery! Its a Creality Ender 5 Plus.

However scanning objects is an area in which  I'm not well versed.

Does anyone own a scanner? I've heard high Mac tablets have some ability to scan.
Any experience with commercial scanning services?

My name is Chris. I'm Jim's neighbor. I am very familiar with 3d printers, although I do not scan things. I will forward Jim a YouTube video of a guys scanning objects then printing them.

You can also download a program called Fusion 360 but it does not scan. it is a CAD program where you can make your item manually and probably get much better results. they offer a free version through Autodesk for hobbyists.
