Title: 69 Boss 302 Questions
Post by: chockostang on June 22, 2023, 06:18:24 PM
First---Did Ford indeed build the 69 B2 cars with PS?
Was the 69 a passengers side BOTTOM radiator hose?
If on Pass side then was the same hoses used for the PS pump, and not the same hoses as the 70 which had the HBA CC pump with female port.
Doing a 69 system now and Blue Dot hoses are 70 style, customer car has same pump, hoses, etc as a 69 351W with male pressure in rear of pump.
Need this info for not only me, and Dave at Blue Dot, but for all that might be doing a B2 with PS.

1. Yes P/S was an available option on a 69 BOSS 302.
2. Yes, the lower radiator hose was passenger side as it used the C8OE-D water pump casting with the unique a boss impeller.
3. 69 used the HBA-BF power steering pump and had a different cooler. So hoses are different.
4. Attached is a list a made of 69 vs 70 BOSS 302 power steering components compiled from the 1970 edition of Fords MPC.
