Title: BEWARE!! Scammer working parts wanted pages
Post by: Crgjohnson on December 13, 2022, 11:13:36 AM
BEWARE!! There is a scammer working the parts wanted section of the BOSS 302 forum. I wanted to warn others in the event they also try their scam here. The scammer contacted me and provided pictures of the parts that I was looking for. They claimed to be a 76 yo man who just lost his wife. When I asked them if they had conducted any transactions with other members or had a registry name their answer was no. When I asked their name I was given a name of Nicole Macias. The phone number connects to a google voice account. Also the pal pal information is for a Nicole Macias who is supposedly the granddaughter. Much more happened on this transaction that convinced me this was a scammer. Please proceed with caution.

Thanks - Always good to be reminded and to be aware of the possibilities.

No one wants to be "that guy" so be careful

I "lurk" on the Shelby Forum - https://www.saacforum.com/ - and often find posts there warning about about scammers, like "Pookie".
