Seat belt anchors
« on: July 17, 2018, 07:13:10 PM »
Does anyone have any pictures or know the correct position for front seat belt shoulder anchors. I have  searched assembly manuals and repair manuals but cant find anything that depicts the order of the attaching points and hardware for the front inner and outer positioning of the belt in relationship to the lap belt.

Did you already find this thread when you used the search feature?

Used the words "69 shelby seat belts"

If it misses something please let us know and we'll try and address

How about shoulder anchors to ceiling, is it bolt , rollbar then washer or am I missing something. The repair manual shows 2 rubber washers for the outboard on a Mach1 69 does that mean the set up is different due to the extra belt.

"Shoulder anchors to ceiling"???

So I guess your working on a sportroof. Seat belts don't go to the same attaching hole for the shoulder as Mustangs since Shelbys have the Y belts attached to the roll bar

Jeff thanks for your patience, I just realized I am using the wrong verbiage. Where the roll bar "anchors" to the roof, Do you have any pictures that show the order of the hardware used? Is there a spacer involved , rubber washer etc. Thanks again

Hope you don't think I'm picking on you just want to be sure we're both on the same page, discussing the same part or detail. And in turn this makes it clearer to all those who will read the thread for their needs

In the exploded views of the sport roof roll bar installation there is no washer shows between the attaching bolt and the roll bar  nor one shown between the roll bar and the roof mount

Also don't recall every inserting or installing one

Hope this helps

While we're discussing the roll bar mounting here is a shot of the lower end - might help others

So on a 69 Shelby, the rollbar was attached to the roof location with a single seatbelt bolt on each side, no washers or other items. Which bolt was used, the barrel or cone bolt?

Accurate looking but not a Concours Restoration/build. See my build photo gallery at 69GT350 Hertz Build
