Valance Bezel Screw Location
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:49:54 PM »
I am having Jim Cowles modify a 67 Mustang valance to match an early 67 Shelby. He has looked at a few early cars and has noticed a screw at the top of each bezel. He is not entirely sure how early this appears and when it ends. My #89 car will be fitted. Any thoughts on whether this screw is correct or not for mine? He will be sending me a picture of an early car's valance and bezel.

I've got the modified 65-66 Mustang GT trim on 67 Shelby's during the early #50 cars at least and continuing far past your cars assembly date. Of course the  early production practices can produce some odd results  I think your safe in using those on your car - though of course I will await additional confirmation from Bob :) when he sees the post

Thanks Jeff. I am still waiting for a couple of pictures from Jim C. I am showing the 67 and the Super Snake in the Orinda Car Show Sept. 22. It's from 10am-2pm. They are going to have a special area for Shelby cars. It's a good show with a variety of makes.  Usually around 200 entrants are there.
