Title: Engine Tag- 69 H Code Location
Post by: Buzz489 on March 03, 2024, 05:25:17 PM
Where and how is 1969 351W engine tag mounted to the engine? I have a late 69 351W 2V  PS/PB/AC. Any pictures?

No. Different family of engines. Like 428 CJs that year its mounted with the coil bracket on top of the intake manifold drivers side

So besides using the "dip/distributor" bolt, what is the placement of the tag? Is it up/down and was it originally bent at the factory in a particular way?

I have seen them up or down . Up is probably more readable not bent in a particular way . If you are concerned about this nuance issue you may want to update the finish on bolts in the picture that would be at least as noticable if not more. The hold down bolt typically S7 zinc silver and intake bolts would be painted engine color along with the intake gaskets.Thermostat housing would be painted engine color. There are other things too.

Thank you all. At this time, I'm test fitting parts on the engine to just see what I need.
