I'm   having   a   devil  of   at  time   on  my   67  Metuchen  with  installing   the   eopop   plastic   wire   retainers.   on   fire wall   and   shock  towers.   I get  them into  holes  ok. but  its  getting   loop  to connect  to  plastic  stud  end   of  thing.   I've  tried  "stretching"   holes  w  phillips  screwdriver.   This  plastic   is  pretty   stiff.

I  haven't   tried   the hot  water  soak  yet.  I  don't   want  to  melt  them.Suggestions, please.
TY,
Gimpy

First: what is the part number of the "retainer" you are using?
2nd: Where did you buy it?
3rd: Do you know who the vendor is?
The "book" says it's the same as the ones used in 64-66. I've had no problem with them.

I do the same as Fred, except I use an 11/32" nut driver, it won't mar the spline of the clip... this is for the loop style.
