67 Shelby/Mustang Horn Wiring Question

Quick question on 1967 Shelby horns. My car has had its horn jumper wiring hacked into and it looks like each horn is connected into the main harness running across the bottom of the front radiator support with just a single wire connecting to each horn. Is this correct? I'm troubleshooting the infamous "no horn" problem and wanted to start at the horns and run back. They blow with a direct connection to battery positive post and horn grounded to support and thus grounded.  I do have one stray black wire that was cut at the far end of the main harness on passenger side just hanging out there connected to nothing. Any idea what this wire may be for?

If the wiring for the horns are the same as the standard Mustang, the horns are daisy-chained; i.e. the left most horn has 2 wires going to the female spade lead.  The ground for the horns is the chassis itself.

thank you Midlife- Yes, I believe the horn jumpers are the same as a 67 Mustang and if I understand you correctly the left most horn being the passenger side horn should have two wires?  I will guess that the short cut wire I described below is the second wire you referenced.

The 67 Shelby horn wiring is identical to the Mustang .

Left side is driver's side.
