1972 Coil Spring markings
« on: February 01, 2013, 03:30:46 PM »
With the help of several parties I think I have identified the appropriate color markings for my 01/05/72 Dearborn Mach 1 with standard competition suspension, PS, Non-AC.  My build sheet shows N & P.  Research help has indicated Gold and Pink for the markings.  Next question is what shade is the gold?  The pink I am replicating from other suspension components, but no gold to draw from.  Does anyone have a formulation or a clear photo to compare too?  Thank you.

A couple of thoiughts/questions

So the buildsheet is wrong??? Haven't seen an example of that before - other than the number of stripes but not the colors

And what ever research didn't turn up a picture of the Gold and Pink just the names of colors?

Of course since the springs were applied by another vendor there is no way to tell if they were the same tone or tint of pink so matching for example a pink from a shock may not be close to what was applied to the springs.

Here are some samples from other front springs - pinks on left gold on right
