Found this distributor in my garage can't find any information on what it's from. Any help would be appreciated. C5AF-12127 BG. The BG is what I can?t determine.

Is there a date code marked under the "suspicious" Fprd Part number?

Did you try and look it up in one of the MPC versions? At the start of that section there will be the identification numbers/letters listed an what they carried in stock when the MPC was written - Often a different distributor to reduce the need to stock the hundreds of different units going forward
By 1969 it had been replaced in the service line with C4AZ-12127-M
Looks like one of the applications was a full bodied 1966 Ford with a 352 cu engine 4V and automatic without Thermactor
Did not find another application in either a 68 or 69 MPC

With a vacuum advance boss and hole in the housing?
Just as a note - Dual point conversion and point plates have been available since the 60's
Can you confirm that it is a big block distributor?
