Tire Date

Hi all,
Just a quick question about dates on tires. If I have a MELD Y4A064 would that be the sixth week of 1974? If I had a MDLD Y4A412 would that be a 41st week of 1972? I was just wondering how you know if it's a 60's or 70's tire?

It would be 74 because they were not using that tire dating system in the 60s.
