Title: 1968 Mustang Front Turn Signal Light (correct lamp socket)
Post by: Craners on March 01, 2023, 07:51:05 AM
Looking for help to confirm what was typical for a NJ production build. (late summer if this matters)
I believe the ?correct? original lamp socket type has the external ground tab.
The ground wire is terminated to this tab, then shrink tubing applied.
(This is what I have on my car, I believe these lamp assys are original to the car. (castings have the appropriate markings)
Any assistance is appreciated.
Thank you
Fran

Yes Fran they have an individual ground wire that has a ring terminal that goes around the base of the socket. Also, all three wires are formed as a ribbon so they are attached to each other.
