Title: 68 Shelby History question
Post by: ruppstang on February 18, 2018, 03:07:22 PM
I have wondered why the 68 Mustang bodies used to build Shelby's were built in Metuchen NJ and shipped to AO Smith near Detroit MI. Why were they not built at the Dearborn plant? It seems like there would have been less cost in transportation.

Ford determined that NJ was the best place because they had the largest production capability.
