AM RADIO Resto
« on: July 27, 2011, 01:41:10 PM »
I want to send my 6TPZ 308418  Radio out of my 66 Mustang, out to be refurbished.

I want bezel re-chromed, face tuning characters reprinted, case re-plated, sliced wires replace with uncut ones, and tuned up to work like new.

I called Ward's in AL but he only does the tune-up.

Any ideas?  If I have to, I'll do all the refurb myself and then send it to Ward's but I really want turn-key.

For the amount of work you want done, you might consider buying an NOS radio.  They are usually around $500.

I don't know of where one is off-hand, but check with some of the obsolete parts dealers.
