Thermactor anti-back fire valve identification

Given the different intake and multiple carbs the valve was not attached like the 390 Mustangs/Cougars

Hoses were shortened and the valve was mounted right above and behind the pump and was held in place by just the rubber hoses attached to valve. Yes there is an incorrect non original hose clamp in picture

The 67 GT500 would use the same part as the 67 390 4V in this instance. FYI the 67 GT500 is the same 67 428 PI engine but with duel fours added.

Guess we'll have to disagree about the bracket

Here is another picture from 67 with the bracket not attached to the valve. Thee 390 Mustang valve was not used for the GT500 application. The GT500 used the same three port valve as the 289 where the 390 used the two port. Wasn't like they installed the whole 390 Thermactor assembly and left it at that. Number of other parts are different between the two systems also.

Not really because when I said same part (Thermactor anti-back fire valve) I did not mention or mean to imply the bracket.
