8.75" gears in a 9" carrier for hi-performance mustangs

Hi All,
I kinda kicked up a hornets nest on facebook. I saw the attached info from the Fordification site and also kevinstang9" site that Ford engineered and installed 8.75" diameter ring gears in 9" cases on a lot of cars. The link to the site is
https://www.fordification.com/tech/rearends_ford02.htm
I'm just wondering if anyone has first-hand knowledge of this. Thanks in advance...Jack

Another question- according to the attached document above, are there any Ford parts numbers available to identify the related 8.75" gear?
