Title: 1986 mustng gt conv - what to look at
Post by: JeffD on April 05, 2016, 12:09:42 PM
found a 1986 mustang gt conv.  black exterior and top - owner thinks original paint and original top. interior has no rips. body is straight with only a couple minor dings and everything appears to be there. engine was rebuilt and is strong and i know a clutch was put in the car. so mechanically its a great car with only a few cosmetic issues that could be easily overlooked.

now ive always liked these cars but honestly never thought of them as show cars. what do you look for in determining if this is a good candidate to get this car and build it for something other than a beach car? good place for values? thanks in advance

You need to visit the Four Eyed Pride Site... has a little bit of everything. Great Site

The Fox Body cars are starting to show some interest and the lower mileage, original, unmolested examples are starting to go up in value. The reproduction parts availability is no where near that of the early cars ('65 -73), but that too has improved and there are still nice used parts available.
