Is there a VIN stamp on the '70 block? If so, would you mind sharing a pic, or the digits?
Thanks!

The block I'm talking about has NO V IN stamped on the block
But I do have another 70 block and what I can read is 28555 but I know its 1` digit short and there's more of a gap between the #28 and last #5

Thanks Bossman!
What is the casting date (or assembly date) on the '70 block? There is a '70 Boss Eliminator with a VIN 1 digit higher 528556, built the 1st week of Dec 1969. I'm wondering if your block might be from an Eliminator.

Mike, it sure looks like it is as the cast date is 9J15- 1969 Nov 15, that sounds perfect as if the Cougar was built the 1st week of December

sorry jumped the gun as getting excited to maybe reunite with the car
But it's Sept 15, 1969- NOT Nov

Mike-B-svt anything with the Eliminator guy on this block?

Sorry! I meant to reply sooner, but I haven't heard anything back yet. I don't have a VIN in my records that could be a potential match either.
I'll definitely let you know if anything turns up though. I appreciate you taking the time to gather the pics and casting date.

Mike no problem
