Title: 67 vs 68 Turn signal switch
Post by: 68 S Code on December 15, 2011, 11:13:17 AM
Looking to fix many electrical gremlins and from some tests it looks like the turn signal switch is the culprit. Problem is that I installed a tilt column so now it is even more difficult to find the right NOS switch. Have someone looking for one but I just ran across a guy with a 67 tilt switch. How are they different from the 68? Is it just the way the emergency flasher button looks? This 67 NOS unit has 10 wires just like my original. Anyone know what the differences are.

I believe the tilt operation part is also different. The repro switches are pretty good

Would you recommend the Daniel carpenter over the others?

I'm not sure who makes it but I think I get them from NPD. Not cheap IIRC like 130?

Does a standard switch have the pickle looking cylinder on the back side of the switch or is that a tilt column switch only?
