Title: Paint Number - Acapulco Blue
Post by: Stangly on July 25, 2013, 08:42:16 PM
My car is going to paint this Monday.  The paint shop uses PPG products.  My Marti report says the paint was Acapulco Blue Paint, Ford #3077-A  is the paint number I need to give my painter.  If not does anybody have the correct paint number.

Thank you,

Excited beyond belief,

If it turns out (typical) they can't do anythign with the original or old numbers get back to us. That color might be reformulated by a couple of companies already. The changes in the base and toners have made allot of old formulas useless :(

Been down this road before and some places get the colors close but when you park next to another at a show the differences start to stand out

I was wondering about that.  I was trying to match some interior colors and I had a good bit of the original entact for a match.  The reformulated color wasn't even close, I matched the old fashion way by placing several swatches on the part.  It came our perfect, unfortunately I don't have any of the original body color since the car had been painted twice.

Thanks guys,
Have a great weekend,

The Ditzler Paint code for Acapulco Blue is "3K".
