Title: '68 Shelby - rear quarter marker bezel

Have seen some cars with the early '68 rear reflector with body color, some with chrome, around the rear 1/4 reflectors. 

What was standard from the factory, or did it vary?

talking about the recessed reflectors not later surface mount obviously, all 68 shelbys were supposed to get the chrome bezels. Painted were regular mustang. Same thing for headlight rings.

I know it's an old topic but trying to add some reference material to the subject that I gathered from Shelby experts over the years.

Regarding the switch over date:

Ford parts book shows 2/15  is the cutoff date.

Convertibles tend to be about five or six days later, around the 20-21st.
