Attended the 50th event yesterday, I was surprised with the turn out. Not near the cars I expected, I attended the 25th and it was wall to wall classic mustangs. I hope Saturday and Sunday is better and that the weather does not make problems. Show was still good and I am glad I attended. Talked to many people who did the Drive Across America, that sound like it was fun. I did see a few significant cars...
1964 Indy Pace car
Mustang 5F08100001
1st Mustang sold
2015 Mustang
MANY BIG BLOCKS! Forgive me, I have engine envy!
Cars on track, GT 350 making some laps.

MCA held two silver anniversary shows: Port Arthur, TX (April 28, 29) and Atlanta (May 26-28).
-
There were also national 20th anniversary shows sponsored by Ford. Believe those were the first.
MCA held the eastern version while a we (a group of western clubs) held the western version. The Western version help span the all Ford Knott's Berry Farm shows

Really enjoyed the rare mustang tent, I looked for yall by the banner but when I went over there I did not see anyone. Will hopefully have pictures up this afternoon.

Here is a link to all of mine from my phone. Waiting on the wife to give me the pics she took with her good SLR camera.

it was held at Charlotte, Bill Clinton was President and he showed up and drove his Mustang down pit road. LBJ's Mustang was there also. The Indy pace car in my pics was there also. I don't remember any Mustangs newer that 1973 being there. I think at that time MCA only allowed 1973 and older Mustangs in their shows. I showed my 1966 GT Fastback.

newer cars were there. mca admitted 'late models' in 1986.

I believe that was the 30th Anniversary Show, not the 25th. Clinton was president from 1993 -2001.

You are correct. The 30Th Anniversary show was the one that Bill Clinton showed up with his car and the secret service. It was a 1967 Mustang. He drove it onto the track and the hub cap came off.

Ford also held one in Flushing Meadows NY, home of the 1964 World's Fair.

I went to the 20th anniversary show in Dearborn put on by the local club, Ford was involved
and we got the chance to drive our cars on the Ford test track, drove my 79 Pace car through
the hairpin turn at high speed, what a thrill!

Yes, It was the 30th. We were there. 1994, and got to shake hands with our US President cause we were in the concours Mustang section. Remember it very well.
